The Spring Group meeting will take place on April 23 at Chelford Village Hall with a talk on the history of Arighi Bianchi, Macclesfield.

Volunteers are needed for cake making and help with refreshments.

The monthly walk on March 26 will be led by Win Ross. Meet at the Wizard car park Alderley Edge at 10.15 am.

The speaker was Sonia McCann from the VINE Project (Vulnerable children In Need of Education). This venture supports children in a township in Kwa Zulu Natal who have lost their parents through AIDS.

Sonia told of nine children from the township who are now on degree courses. Beautiful Zulu jewellery and needlework made by the grandmothers, who are caring for their orphaned grandchildren, was on display.
