Chairman, Marilyn Lloyd, welcomed members and visitors to the first meeting of 2015 of Goostrey Flower club and, as it was the first meeting since the Club Show in December, thanked Joan Wilkinson and her committee for making the show such a success.

Members were advised that there will be a Spring Workshop on May 21, at Lower Withington Hall. The NAFAS Area Lunch is to be held on March 16, at The Mere when speaker Susan Shaw, will entertain members with her talk 'In the footsteps of adventure in Peru'. There will be a coach trip to Blackpool on Friday, November 13 for members to attend the National Show.

Demonstrator for the meeting was Eleanor Griffiths who kept everyone entertained with her 'Floral Fun'. Eleanor who started her flower arranging with Young Farmers, is also a judge and keen competitor and loves travelling all over the country entering shows. She has exhibited at Chelsea Flower Show six times. The vote of thanks was given by Dorothy Monks.

Anita Wright will give her demonstration 'Gardeners' Delight' at the next meeting on February 12. Meetings are held in Goostrey Village Hall at 2 for 2.30, after the demonstration members and visitors will have a chance to enjoy refreshments and look at the flower arrangements close up.
