The last meeting of the year for Cranford Quilters was a festive occasion. The usual notices were followed by the AGM, The committee was re-elected and Joy Sheppard agreed to join.

They enjoyed the food that members had contributed and brains were put to work with two quizzes, one on nursery rhymes (which meant digging a long way back into the past) and the other on the names of patchwork blocks.

They have decided to go back to having the refreshments at the end of their meetings, which are held in St. Vincent’s Church Hall, Tatton Street, Knutsford at 7.30pm.

The next meeting will be on January 26, 2015, when they will begin making quilts for the Linus project, which provides quilts/blankets mainly for traumatised children.

Visitors are always welcome, further information is available from Karen on 01625 532713.
