Knutsford Photographic Society held its October competitions and the results are as follows.
Winners for the Digital Image Category: 1. Sue Heath, “Worn and Torn”; 2. Trevor Hosking, “Neo-Gothic Splendour”; 3. Gwyndaf Roberts, “Banded demoiselle (Calopteryx splendens) - male”; 4. Carol Keith, “The lily pond at night”; 5. Stewart Fraser “Cannon Beach”. Winners in the Print Category: 1. John Patterson, “Street Artist”; 2. Bill McCaig, “Cherry-ade”; 3. Gwyndaf Roberts, “Folk Festival Clarinettist”; 4. Gwyndaf Roberts, “Banded demoiselle (Calopteryx splendens) - male” (different image); 5. John Patterson, “Low Tide”.
Members recently enjoyed a talk on “Colour Calibration” by Terry Hewitt of Stockport Photographic Society, which was well received and illuminating. James Russell will be presenting a talk on “Flash Photography” on October 28, and on November 4, the popular Triptych print competition will be held.
