President, Marilyn Lloyd, chaired the recent AGM at Goostrey Flower club. It was attended by 40 members and followed by a delicious lunch.

Retiring chairman, Chris Williams, reminded members of the club Show on Saturday, November 22. It is open to the public from 2pm, tea and cake will be available.

Entries for the show should be sent to Joan Wilkinson as soon as possible.

The Christmas lunch, will be at The Golden Pheasant, Plumley on December 11.

A Christmas workshop will take place at 10am on December at Lower Withington Village Hall, tickets cost £8.50.

Orders are being taken for the Flower Arranger magazine, which is £11.80.

Joan Robinson from Wigan entertained members and guests with her demonstration entitled "Create the WOW factor!"

Joan is a very talented lady, she is a demonstrator, designer, teacher and was previously a hairdresser for 48 years. From her garden in Wigan she can see the the dish of Jodrell Bank.

She is well travelled, loves Japan and has13 Japanese temples in her garden.

The next demonstration on November 13, is by Diane Fair entitled "Magic of Christmas".

The competition is "Long and Low". Visitors welcome at Goostrey Village Hall at 2pm.
