CRANFORD WI
PAM Cowburn, the co-president, welcomed the members to the October meeting of Cranford WI.
Tickets were on sale for the Members lunch on November 5, and for the group meeting on November 15.
There was a request for volunteers to help organize a banner and bunting for the NFWI Centenary in 2015.
The speaker for the afternoon was Brian Hallworth who gave an entertaining talk about how people coped with life during the second world war. His talk was illustrated with slides and recordings of many of the songs which were popular at the time. Pam Cowburn gave the vote of thanks.
Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month at 2pm in the Jubilee Hall, Knutsford.
