LADIES from Cranford Quilters enjoyed a Sashiko Workshop at their recent meeting, prepared by member Anne Wheater.
Sashiko is the name for traditional Japanese Quilting and means little stabs.
It dates back to the early 1800s. They were given a great tip for transferring designs onto their fabric, traditionally indigo in colour, and were able to produce some little white running stitches on their samples before the end of the evening.
Join them for their next meeting at 7.30pm on Monday, June 23 at St Vincent’s Roman Catholic Church, Tatton Street, Knutsford, preceded by refreshments.
The speaker will be Elizabeth J Wall and it promises to be an entertaining evening. For further information please contact Karen on 01625 532713.
