THE demonstrator at the April meeting of Knutsford and District Flower Club was Liz Broad, of Formby, with ‘Variations on a Theme’ and ‘Circles, Spheres and Swirls’.
Liz produced an array of designs that were full of colour and movement. She used spheres covered in a mosaic of leaves, swirls of clematis vine and colourful gerbera, roses, carnations and orchids.
The vote of thanks was given by Pat Bannister.
The members’ competition was ‘Creative Contrasts’. Novices and new members: 1. Felicity Dykstra; 2. Marlene Priestley; 3. Sally Dabbs.
Intermediate: 1. Chris Gibbons; Phyllis Stuffins.
Advanced: 1. Julie Wade; 2. Linda Clowes; 3. Marilyn Makepeace-Warne.
Premier: 1. Joan Wilkinson; 2. Dorothy Monks; 3. Pat Bannister.
The winners of the ‘Flower of the Month’ competition were: 1. Barbara Rimmington; 2. Liz Turner; 3. Dorothy Monks.
The next meeting is at Plumley Village Hall on Wednesday, May 21 at 2pm.
The demonstrator will be Sylvia Bower, of Stockport, with ‘All That Jazz’, the members’ competition will be ‘Less is More’.
Visitors are very welcome at 1.30pm for 2pm, cost £6.
