A KNUTSFORD-based business, specialising in hearing healthcare, is reporting 15 per cent growth in turnover year on year as treatments for hearing issues become more sophisticated.

Hearing Matters, located off King Street in the town centre, is the brainchild of hearing specialists Brian Unsworth and Peter Jones who set up the business in 2009.

As well as the Knutsford office and consulting suite the company has consulting suites across the North West.

Their service includes hearing evaluations, sophisticated hearing aids and hearing protection. The team also works alongside ENT specialists and GPs.

Peter Jones said: “Ours is a pretty recession-friendly business. If you are suffering hearing loss or need to protect your ears then it’s not a purchase you put off.

“There has also been significant growth in awareness of the need to protect our ears from harmful sounds and this has had a positive impact on our growth.

“We firmly believe in continuing education and making sure we are trained in the latest technology and techniques. This ethos has helped to keep us ahead of our competitors and allows us to offer our clients a level of service which we believe is unrivalled in the area.”
