KNUTSFORD is the place to be if you’re organising a wedding – just ask Janice Tasho.

With soon-to-be newly-weds from the United States wanting Wonderful Weddings by JT to plan their big day, the Knutsford mum-of-two is welcoming her international clients.

Since she started her business in February Janice has helped dozens of couples across the UK, but her expertise is now spreading as far as New York.

The 39-year-old offers an independent and passionate service to ensure all couples have the wedding day of their dreams, and will not only plan part or all of the special event but co-ordinate everything on the big day, from flowers to food and transport to tiaras.

Janice, who believes her wedding planning services are an affordable necessity rather than a luxury, said: “I am delighted to have seen such an increase in inquiries this autumn, but also to see almost all of our inquiries have become clients.

“Every one of my couples remains unique in their personality and preference and each wedding is different. This is what makes my job particularly interesting and enjoyable.

“It’s great to be putting Knutsford on the map.”

Janice has worked as a project manager in IT for Barclays and spent a year in Cambridge with an education company, but when she returned to Knutsford she decided to start her own business.

Janice, who lives at Mereheath Park in Knutsford, said: “Having worked on major projects I can comfortably handle numerous weddings at the same time.

“I’ve also got experience of working with and managing multiple suppliers, which is another vital skill.

“Having worked in large organisations I can also deal with the different personalities of the brides and bridegrooms who I am working with.

“Every bride and bridegroom has unusual requests, but so far I haven’t had anything really off the wall, although I’m looking forward to the challenge.

“Every couple focuses on something different that is important to them.”

“Clients abroad are no different to those who live in London or even Knutsford.

“The common denominator is that all my couples work long hours, which is why they’ve asked me to help.

“The difficultly can be getting hold of them and getting them to make decisions because their work life is so busy.”

One of Janice’s clients has described her as a “lifesaver” as she thinks of everything, and another satisfied customer praised her enthusiasm and energy.

Janice, who is married to Will and has two young daughters, said: “I really enjoy every day at work and it doesn’t really feel like work as it’s my passion.

“I love getting feedback from my couples, and many say they now feel in control of their wedding once the stress has gone from organising their day.

“They can look forward to the day rather than it being a burden.

“It’s fantastic when I say goodbye and they are glowing and happy that their day has gone off without a hitch – or at least none they are aware of!”
