MEMBERS of the team at Knutsford based Boxed Red Marketing successfully finished Tatton’s Yuletide Yomp on December 8 to raise vital funds for East Cheshire Hospice.

It was a cold and muddy start to the morning but the rain-free sky kept the team’s spirits up during the 10k around Tatton Park.

Graphic designer Kit Ambage stormed ahead, finishing with a chip time of 50:19 and taking 177th place.

Web developer Ben Egan finished in 56:58, director Craig Fell and director Steve Caley both came in at 1:06:07.

Strategic marketing executive Anya Thaker and strategic client manager Shelley O’Neill finished in 1:08:46 and 1:16:27 respectively.

Boxed Red’s creative director Craig Fell said: “The run was a brilliant success, we really got into the spirit of things for a great cause. We’re slowly creeping up to our fundraising target and I hope our achievement encourages even more sponsorship.”

The team at Boxed Red have set themselves a challenging target of £1539.00 and are continuing to fundraise after the great success of the day. This amount would fund the Sunflower Centre for an entire day, for 20 patients.

The Sunflower Centre aims to provide a range of services to anyone whose life has been affected by the diagnosis of a life limiting illness.

It provides patients with group sessions so they can meet other patients suffering from similar illnesses, art therapy, complimentary therapies, counselling, family support, hairdressing, lymphoedema, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.
