KNUTSFORD-based marketing agency Boxed Red has gifted its time and services to East Cheshire Hospice.

Every year East Cheshire Hospice encourages businesses and community groups to hold a Reindeer Run to help raise money for the charity, and this year, Boxed Red Marketing, on Silk Mill Street, donated its services to the charity’s campaign.

The design teams at the marketing agency put their heads together, and came up with a new brand identity for the 2013 Reindeer Run, including a logo, illustrated character, information flyer and Facebook cover photograph.

Over the past four years Reindeer Runs have been held in schools, Guide and Brownie groups and nurseries across East Cheshire, and has raised more than £80,000 for East Cheshire Hospice.

With the help of this re-design the hospice is hoping to encourage the business community to get involved and enter teams of colleagues into this fun initiative.

East Cheshire Hospice provides free care to help more than 2,000 people each year from across East Cheshire who are suffering from life-limiting illnesses.

Providing this level of care for the community comes at a cost, and Boxed Red told the Guardian it hoped that its contribution will generate more interest in the Reindeer Run and have a positive impact on the fundraising efforts of the hospice.

Janna Caley, director at Boxed Red Marketing, said: “It is always a pleasure supporting local charities, especially one as worthy as East Cheshire Hospice.

“I completed the Midnight Walk in aid of the hospice recently, and our support has continued to grow from there.”

A spokesperson for East Cheshire Hospice said: “It really does mean a lot to have such a good working partnership with Boxed Red.

“They really have captured the imagination of our fantastic festive fundraising initiative and achieved a brilliant re-branding of our Reindeer Run.”

That’s not all – some of the Boxed Red team have dusted off their trainers and will run the Tatton Yuletide Yomp to raise vital funds for East Cheshire Hospice.

The team at Boxed Red have set themselves a challenging target of £1,539, with the amount funding the Sunflower Centre at the hospice for an entire day, for 20 patients.

The Sunflower Centre aims to provide a range of services to anyone whose life has been affected by the diagnosis of a life-limiting illness.

It provides patients with group sessions so that they can meet other patients suffering from similar illnesses, art therapy, complimentary therapies, counselling, family support, hairdressing, lymphoedema, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.
