PIG & Co, a family business based at Blackden Hall in Goostrey, won the Food Hero of the Year award at the Cheshire Life Food and Drink awards 2013.
The Cheshire Life and Lancashire Life annual Food and Drink awards were hosted at the Hilton hotel in Manchester.
Julian Price, owner of Pig and Co, said: “ We produce all our natural, gluten-free award-winning sausages from our small herd of Large Black, Large White, Gloucester Old Spot and Saddleback pigs.
“We do everything ourselves, from pig to plate, and it’s a great honour to be awarded this Food Hero status.”
