Food lovers descend on Tatton Park for sizzler

THIS weekend the North West Food Lovers Festival returns to Tatton Park with a host of sizzling guests to set culinary taste buds alight, as well as plenty of cracking food to try.

Nick Holzherr, a finalist in the most recent series of BBC1’s The Apprentice who was dubbed the ‘dishy’ one by his fans, will be comparing at the event alongside festival director Stephen Wundke in the grounds of Tatton Park, Knutsford.

Earlier this summer, Holzherr secured an investment of £170k to launch his company ‘Whisk’, the business idea he pitched to Lord Sugar.

Whisk is a service that will bring together online recipes with internet shopping, meaning that people can add all the ingredients needed for dishes they find on the internet straight into their online shopping basket.

Holzherr will be sharing the demonstration stage on Saturday, October 20 with a raft of popular local chefs as well as famous faces Lisa Faulkner (winner of BBC1’s Celebrity Masterchef 2010) and Sean Wilson, who left the cobbled streets of ‘Corrie’ to pursue a business in cheesemaking.

Nick, a foodie and self-professed culinary whizz, said: “I’m a really keen cook so I’m looking forward to getting up close and personal with some great names from the culinary world.

“At the very heart of my business, Whisk, is the belief that home cooking should be simple so I’m hoping to share some vital tips on how to save time and money with the audience and chefs alike.”

The North West Food Lovers Festival runs from Friday, October 19 to Sunday, October 21. Tickets can be purchased at the event. For more information visit nwfoodloversfestival.blogspot.co.uk
