Bank workers do their bit for the community
8:20am Thursday 18th October 2012 in News
BANK staff undertook a gardening project at St Luke’s Hospice in Winsford.
Staff at Barclays in Knutsford helped a charitable organisation for the second time this year, with the felling of some conifers that had outgrown their surroundings.
They also painted garden furniture and fence panelling to help them endure the winter weather.
Sara Evans, manager of volunteer support at St Luke’s, said: “It was great that they could come back again to the hospice once the birds had stopped nesting and it was the right time to do the work. We are very grateful to have such great support.”
Tony Wood from Barclays in Knutsford said: “Well done to all the staff who helped support this very worthy cause for a second time this year. I think it is fantastic that Barclays supports us in so many activities to work closely with our local community to achieve something we all hope will make a real and lasting difference.”
