LATEST: Appeal after cyclist hurt in collision near Knutsford

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a collision involving a cyclist and a car in Marthall near Knutsford.

At 2.56pm on Saturday, September 29, two cyclists were travelling along the A537 Chelford Road towards Knutsford when a blue BMW M3 which was pulling out of Sandlebridge Lane was in collision with one of the bikes.

The cyclist, a 66-year-old woman from Stoke-on-Trent, received serious neck injuries and is being treated in Hope Hospital in Salford.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or events leading up to the collision should contact Sgt Ian Holley from the Eastern Operational Support Unit on 101 quoting incident number 632 of 29 September 2012.
