A MOBBERLEY-based Morris Dance group is holding a series of taster sessions over the coming months.

Ringheye Morris of Mobberley, who appear at the village’s Rose Queen Festival and Knutsford Royal May Day, will be hosting sessions where people will be able to learn about the art of Morris dancing.

Three sessions will be held, the first one on Wednesday, October 17, followed by sessions on November 14 and January 23.

The sessions are open to men and women of all ages, run from 8.15pm to 10pm, and take place at the Victory Hall in Mobberley.

Would-be Morris dancers don’t have to attend each session.

The group is also on the lookout for people who can play instruments, in particular a violinist.
