Last chance to put the leader on the spot

THE deadline to submit your question to Cheshire East Council’s leader has been set.

The leader of Cheshire East Council has urged Guardian readers to put him on the spot, and as a result the Guardian will be asking Michael Jones a range of reader-submitted questions.

The councillor, who took over the reins of the authority in May, has agreed to answer questions from the Knutsford public.

Questions can be on any topic, ranging from Tatton Park, your council tax bill to potholes.

The Guardian will be asking the questions at the council’s HQ in Sandbach on Wednesday, October 24, but to ensure we have your questions in time we need them sent in to us by Wednesday, October 17.

Clr Michael Jones told the Guardian he would tackle any question that comes his way.

“This council promotes transparency and openness, and we encourage people to question decision-making at every level,” he said.

“I would urge people to take this opportunity to put me on the spot and ask the important questions that relate to them now and in the future.

“Engagement in local issues is vital to a better life for all, so please send your questions to the Knutsford Guardian and I will tackle them rigorously.”

E-mail knutsford@guardian grp.co.uk, send a letter to 3 Theatre Court, London Road, Northwich, or visit the Guardian surgery on a Wednesday at 10am at the Heritage Centre on King Street.

You can post a question in the Guardian post box at the customer service desk in Booths.
