A TOP TV auctioneer has teamed up with a Pickmere woman hoping to be the Cheshire's police and crime commissioner for a fundraising event later this month.

Adam Partridge, owner of an auction house in Macclesfield and star of TV show Bargain Hunt, will be holding an auction at Via Via on Thursday, October 18.

Independent candidate Sarah Flannery is holding the event to raise funds for her campaign - she has to raise a £5,000 deposit just to take part in the election which will take place on November 15.

Tickets for the event, that starts at 7.30pm, cost £15 and include wine and tapas on arrival at the venue, which is located on Regent Street.
