AN exhibition showcasing a year in the life at Tatton Park – captured exclusively by a Knutsford photographer – will be revealed later this week.
‘Tatton 365’ is a year-long glimpse at Tatton Park through the lens of photographer Mark Williamson.
Mark has enjoyed unprecedented access to the park, allowing him to create an exhibition of images which invite the viewer to see into the heart and soul of this Cheshire attraction.
His work is a personal insight and captures all aspects of life on the estate, from behind-the-scenes access to beautiful landscapes to the people who make the park what it is today.
Mark’s biggest task has been to select around 50 images from thousands for the exhibition, which opens on Saturday and runs until the October 28.
Since his first visit in 2011 Mark has spent many hours in the park and admits that Tatton 365 has become an obsession.
“I was delighted when Tatton agreed to work with me on a project I had thought about for some time,” Mark said.
“The park has become my constant companion over the past year and has never ceased to surprise me.”
He learned how to use a camera at the age of 12 and went on to perfect his skills and study the art at Mid Cheshire College.
Having graduated Mark went to assist Manchester-based photographer Moy Williams and set up his own business specialising in advertising photography.
He has worked for a number of clients on shoots at home and internationally, and his clients include Reebok, Umbro, JCB, Magnet Kitchens, Sale Sharks and Co-op.
This is Mark’s second exhibition, his first being the result of a four-month project on South East Asia in 2006.
Tatton 365 takes place in Tatton’s neo-classical mansion.
Normal opening times and prices apply.
