A RIDING stables in Ollerton raised more than £800 for charity after holding a coffee morning on Friday.

The New Barn Livery took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support on September 28. Clr Vivien Davies, Mayor of Knutsford came along, and was treated to a lesson about everything to do with horses.

She told organisers of her interest in the Riding for the Disabled, which is based at New Barn, and enjoyed a ‘taster’ on Rocky the electronic riding simulator. The event was very well attended, with more than 60 guests, and the final total which was raised was £801.
