Have your say on the provision of school places

PARENTS in Knutsford are being urged to look at another council consultation document – but this time it deals with the organisation of the town’s schools.
Cheshire East Borough Council is now consulting on its School Organisation Framework, which informs the council’s priorities in relation to the planning and provision of school places – one example being the subject of overcrowding.
In Knutsford this happened at Egerton Primary this year, with 35 youngsters having to be taught in an ICT suite while a new mobile classroom is built (read page 3 for more).
The consultation will run for a four-week period from September 21 to October 19.
All feedback received by October 19 will be collated and presented in a report to the council’s Cabinet at its meeting of December 10 to inform decision making. Once determined, the School Organisation Framework will be implemented from December 19.
