POLITICAL heavyweights will be taking part in this year’s Goosfest when an episode of the BBC Radio 4 Any Questions will be recorded as part of Goostrey’s annual arts festival.
The politicians who have yet to be finalised will be at Clonter Opera on Friday, October 5, and tickets, which are free, are available from the Goosfest ticket office.
While some of the 24 events which will be held at 11 venues between October 4 and 14 are now sold out, there is still availability for others including The Trials of Galileo at Jodrell Bank on October 10; jazz singer Jacqui Dankworth at Cranage Hall on Sunday, October 7; 70s rock group Showaddywaddy at Clonter Opera on Sunday, October 14; a piano duet recital of English music in Goostrey Village Hall on Sunday, October 7 by Dolby and Hughes and Crazy Little Thing Called Love, a comic look at love in its many forms by Kevin Tomlinson on Friday on October 12, again at the village hall.
