Fiona backs anti-porn petition

FIONA Bruce has handed a petition to the Prime Minister in a bid to protect children from adult content on the internet.

The Holmes Chapel, Cranage and Goostrey MP is supporting online campaign group Safetynet in calling for a system which would block explicit sites and require households to ‘opt-in’ to receive adult material.

More than 115,000 people have signed the petition that was handed to 10 Downing Street.

Fiona said: “This issue of children having easy access to unsuitable materials online is one of critical concern to millions of parents across the country.

“This petition gives a voice to those people by ensuring they are heard loudly and clearly by the Prime Minister.”
