Singers sought for tree festival
5:00pm Friday 21st September 2012 in News
A CHRISTMAS tree festival will be taking place again in Knutsford this year.
First organised in 2010, this year’s festival will take place from Friday, November 30, to Sunday, December 2.
It is being held at St Cross Church on Mobberley Road.
The festival is a chance for individuals, organisations and businesses in Knutsford to take part in a magical Christmas event that celebrates the community of Knutsford and, this year, the beauty of St Cross while at the same time raising money for local and national children’s charities.
An information evening for prospective participants is being held on Monday, October 8, from 7.45pm until 9pm at the church’s parish rooms.
Organisers are also looking for any choirs, orchestras and bands who would be interested in playing for the visitors to the festival while they are walking around looking at the trees.
For more details call Helen on 01565 654478 or e-mail Christmas TreeKnutsford@gmail.com.
You can also follow the festival on twitter @TreeFestival and photos from the 2010 festival can be viewed at stcrossknutsford.org.uk/Christmas _tree.htm.
