Put Cheshire East leader on the spot

THE leader of Cheshire East Council has urged Guardian readers to put him on the spot.

The Guardian will be quizzing Cheshire East Council leader Michael Jones later this month – and we need your questions.

The councillor, who took over the reins of the authority in May, has agreed to answer questions from the Knutsford public. Questions can be on any topic, ranging from Tatton Park to potholes.

Clr Michael Jones told the Guardian he would tackle any question that comes his way.

“This council promotes transparency and openness, and we actively encourage people to question decision-making at every level,” he said.

“I would urge people to take this opportunity to put me on the spot and ask the important questions that relate to them now and in the future.

“Engagement in local issues is vital to a better life for all, so please send your questions to the Knutsford Guardian and I will tackle them rigorously.”
