Be snap happy for Goosfest

PHOTOGRAPHERS in Goostrey are being urged to take a snapshot of village life, as part of an on-line exhibition for the forthcoming Goosfest.

The organisers of Goosfest, Goostrey’s annual music and arts festival, with no fewer than 24 events at 11 different venues between October 4 and 14, want people to capture village life on one day – Saturday, September 15.

Organiser Bill Ollier said: “We are asking people to photograph daily life in and around Goostrey. Entry is free and entries should be sent in by September 30.”

Meanwhile, the Goosfest box office has seen record sales, since tickets went on sale on Monday last week.

Bill said: “We still have tickets left for many events, including jazz singer Jacqui Dankworth, at Cranage Hall, on Sunday, October 7; 70s rock group Showaddywaddy, at Clonter Opera, on Sunday, October 14; a recording of BBC Radio 4’s Any Questions, at the same venue, on October 5 and The Trials of Galileo, at Jodrell Bank, on October 10.”

Full details of the photographic exhibition and all events are available at goosfest.com.
