KNUTSFORDIANS cheered on some of the world's greatest cyclists this afternoon as the second stage of the Tour of Britain raced through the town.

Bradley Wiggins and his Team GB and world champion teammate Mark Cavendish, passed through the town at 12.50pm after passing through Ollerton, Marthall and Chelford moments earlier.

The town's streets were closed off by police to let the pack race through.

The cycling greats were joined by 100 fellow competitors in the second stage of the tour, which began in Nottingham this morning.

After passing through Knutsford, the riders travelled through Mere, High Legh and Warrington before finishing in Knowsley.

The video below shows the leading pack as they raced through the Manchester Road roundabout.
