SIX drivers were caught speeding in Plumley on Thursday.

Knutsford police used a speed gun to monitor traffic in Plumley Moor Road after concerns were raised by the parish council.

Six motorists were clocked travelling between 37mph and 40mph in the 30mph zone.

PCSO Lindsey Whitehead said: “I have been wanting to set this up because the parish council see that speeding is an issue along Plumley Moor Road.

“I have seen them bombing through it myself.”

All drivers opted to watch an educational DVD provided by the fire service instead of accepting a fine and points on their licence.
