Town-based art galleries Vermilion Art Gallery, based on Princess Street and Cheshire Art Agencies, on Manchester Road, will be exhibiting at ‘Buy Art Fair’, which runs from September 27 to 30 at Spinningfields in Manchester.
And the event has a further Knutsford connection after it was announced three firms from the town would all be sponsoring the exhibition The companies are finance firm Clarion Plc, restaurant company Living Ventures – owners of Gusto and Australasia – and bespoke furniture firm Hetherington Newman.
All three businesses are based 50 metres apart from one another in town.
The galleries will showcase works from a selection of nationally and internationally acclaimed artists over the three day event, which will range in price from £50 to £5,000.
Ron Walker, managing director of Knutsford-based Clarion plc, said: “Public interest in contemporary art has blossomed over the past few years.
“It’s great to have the opportunity to get involved in two events that cover the full spectrum – from the novice collector through to cutting-edge exhibits, at The Manchester Contemporary, from some of the world’s leading commercial galleries.
“And, of course, we will be on hands to talk to visitors about how we can help them take as good care of their finances as they do of their art collections.”
Buy Art Fair’s managing director, Thom Hetherington, Buy Art Fair’s managing director, added: “The north west boasts a number of exciting established and emerging artists whose work is gathering international acclaim so it’s fantastic to be able to show their talent to a captive audience.
“We’re thrilled to be working with these fine Cheshire galleries too – having them on board only serves to manifest what great artistic prowess we have here.”
