Bring your best wildlife snap

AN open day is being held at Rostherne Mere National Nature Reserve on Saturday, September 15.

The event is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the AW Boyd bird observatiory, and will be hosted by Natural England and the Cheshire and Wirral Ornithological Society.

It runs from 10am to 4pm, and will include guided walks, a bird ringing demonstration and a photographic competition.

Participants are invited to bring a print of their best wildlife photo by 3.30pm on the day. Experts will also be on hand to show the reserve’s birds through binoculars and telescopes.
