4:00pm Tuesday 11th September 2012 in News
FOODIE delights and farmyard fun as Waugh Brow Farm and Box Clever Hampers invite you down on the farm on Saturday, September 22.
Get set for an afternoon of food, live music, fun and activities for all the family against the beautiful backdrop of Waugh Brow Farm, a working farm in the heart of Mobberley and home to its successful Box Clever Hampers.
The open afternoon kicks off at 2pm, and is open until 5pm to celebrate the farm’s 25th anniversary and its recent success in the Rural Diversification awards. Ruth Jones, co-founder, said: “We’re thrilled to be welcoming people to what we hope will be the first of many open afternoons.
“We have a line-up of activities from sausage tastings to farmyard ‘pet’ corner, offering something for all.
“I’ll also be on hand throughout the afternoon with step- by-step recipe cards and helpful tips and advice on how to transform Waugh Brow farm products and locally-sourced ingredients into some of my favourite home-made family meals.”
The open afternoon will celebrate the best local food and produce on offer from the Waugh Brow Farm Shop together with other Mobberley based companies, with tasting sessions on offer including cheese, pate, freshly barbequed sausages and fresh buns from the local village bakery.
