A MILLINGTON charity will be throwing its doors open and inviting Knutsford residents and those in the surrounding area to its annual open day.
The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust is to hold its 11th annual open day and family fun day on Sunday, September 9.
The popular event will start at 1pm and continue through until 4pm.
The charity provides holidays and daytrips to more than 3,000 disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the north west every year, and will open its doors to the public for a day of fun for all the family.
This year’s event will include many attractions, including: DJ from Cheshire’s Silk 106.9, kiddies fairground rides, face painting, live music, a falconry display from Knutsford-based Gauntlet, Rising Star cheeleaders, bouncy castle and many stalls and games.
Helen Crowther, fundraiser for the farm, said: “The charity will also be treating guests to culinary delights such as a hog roast, BBQ and a traditional tea room and guests will also be able to view many of the charity’s excellent facilities and even meet their alpacas.”
Entry to the event is free and the charity are confident in the region of 800 visitors will join them on the day. Further information about the event can be provided by the fundraising office by calling them on 01565 830053.

Helen added: “There’s so much going on this year and it promises to be another brilliant event raising vital funds for the Adventure Farm.
“Come along and help countless terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over our region.”
