THE Longridge community didn’t let the bank holiday weather get it down as it held a fun day to raise money for charity.

Held at the Falcon Bearer pub and car park on the estate, organisers said the event went brilliantly with the weather holding off and the sun coming out between the grey clouds towards the end of the day.

The event raised a total of £575 for The Christie charity fund, which saw children enjoying a teddy bear’s picnic along with a special talent show.

Knutsford mayor Clr Vivien Davies even popped along with her teddie to enjoy the day.
