New show will raise money for charity
8:00pm Friday 31st August 2012 in News
A PERFORMANCE of Knutsford Little Theatre’s new show will also be held to raise money for charity.
On Monday, September 3, there will be a special charity performance of ‘Player’s Angels’ in aid of the Roy Castle Lung Foundation.
A play set in a cigarette factory has a particular poignancy for cast member Riyaz Assrafally, who plays the part of Bill in the play.
Roy Castle died of lung cancer having never smoked and Riyaz started raising money for the charity after learning that his uncle had lung cancer in 2008. Sadly his uncle lost his battle against the disease but Riyaz continues to raise money through running, cycling and other activities and hopes this performance will introduce new people to both the charity and the theatre.
Tickets for the charity night are £10, then normal ticket prices apply from Wednesday 5 to Saturday, September 8.
To reserve tickets telephone 01565 633000 or visit the theatre's website knutsfordlittletheatre.com.
