AN action group campaigning to fight plans for an adventure park in Tatton Park has launched a fundraising drive.

The Save Tatton Action Group (STAG) launched the prize raffle at the Cheshire Game and Angling Fair on Sunday, August 5.

Local businesses, including Juno Photographic, architects Blue Barnacles, both of Knutsford, hair stylists Harper and Quinn of Wilmslow and Lakshmi Beauty Salon of Mobberley, have donated raffle prizes, as have STAG supporters such as Steven Torkington and Penny Lee of Rostherne, who donated a £150 Booths Voucher.

Heather Clawson, STAG spokeswoman, said: “We’re so grateful for the support we’ve received in the form of raffle prizes.

“We are equally grateful for the support we’ve received so far from people buying tickets.

“Thanks to the many people who have been so generous with their time and money, STAG has, in less than four months, managed to raise important questions about Cheshire East Council and the BeWILDerwood plans for Tatton Park.”

Raffle tickets are on sale now, and cost £1 each. The raffle will close on September 30, and the draw will be made by an independent adjudicator.

Tickets are available via the website, savetattonpark.co.uk.
