Fun for the children at fire station day

A RESCUE simulation will be among the activities at Knutsford Fire Station at the weekend.

Firefighters will use ropes and lines to demonstrate how they are trained to save lives and there will also be a simulation to show how the fire service responds to traffic collisions.

The Mobberley Road station is open to the public on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.

Organiser Stuart Plaskett said: “This is a great way for the community to discover more about their local station.

“We would like as many people as possible to come along to the open day, have a great time and leave with some vital safety messages.”

For the younger visitors there will also be ice cream, face painting, go karts and a bouncy castle.
