A 49-YEAR-OLD man was left unconscious after being beaten up by two men who then stole his cash and keys in an unprovoked attack on the Moor.

Police are appealing for information following the robbery which took place in Knutsford at 10.55pm on Thursday, July 26.

The victim was walking past the private car park off The Moor, which runs between Moorside and Middlewalk, when two men in a car began speaking to him.

One of the men then got out of the car and began to walk behind him before assaulting him and beating him unconscious.

It was at this point that the victim had cash and his keys stolen.

He suffered cuts, bruises and a broken nose as a result of the attack.

Police are hunting for two men in connection with the attack.

The first man is described as white, about 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build and aged in his mid-20s.

He had short, dark hair and was wearing a light coloured t-shirt and trainers.

The second man is described as being of a heavier build and with lighter coloured hair.

The vehicle the pair were in is described as a dark coloured hatchback.

Insp Steve Griffiths, from Knutsford Police, said: “Knutsford is a safe place to visit day or night and thankfully these types of incident are rare in our community. We would urge anyone with information to contact us so that we can bring these people to justice.”
