Holmes Chapel school hosts African visitors

A TEACHING duo from South Africa visited Hermitage Primary School before the school broke up for its summer holidays.

Mr Khoza and Ms Mofokeng had flown in from Kgolagona Primary school in Johannesburg in South Africa.

They spent a week in the school talking with the children.

Headteacher, Mrs Jarrold and class teacher Mrs Carter will be visiting their school in September. Their school has 33 classes and more than 1,300 pupils while Hermitage has seven classes and 200 pupils.

They presented the school with two beautiful cushions as a memory of their stay and the choir sang a traditional African song.
