LATEST: Two cars involved in collision in Longridge

POLICE have had to close part of a Knutsford road after a collision between two cars.
The incident happened today, Friday, at 3.47pm, close to the St John's Wood Community Centre on Longridge.
The two cars involved were a Fiat Punto and Vauxhall Vectra.
A female driver of one of the cars has been treated by paramedics.
As a result officers decided to close the road for a short time.
On Twitter @TheFirstONeill said: "Looks like one has tried to pull out of side road and was obscured by gas works and struck a passing car.
"Both cars look like write off's and ambulance and police are at location."
Another user @ainsleyem added: "Was only a matter of time before these 'essential repairs' caused an accident - no common sense employed."
