A FASHION show to raise money to help build a school in Ghana was helped by the appearance of Knutsford’s firefighters.

The event, held to raise money to send Mobberley resident Theo Bielby, 15, to Ghana to help build a school, took place at the Rajar building, in Mobberley.

Theo is a fire cadet in Knutsford ,and has been selected to represent Cheshire.

Twenty cadets from Cheshire, including Theo and his pal Cole Andrew, will be travelling to Ghana in August 2013.

Knutsford firefighters from the Alpha Watch came to offer their support and add a little fun to the evening.

Each cadet needs to raise £3,000, and Theo’s mum Jan staged the fashion show to boost his funds.

More than £1,000 was raised on the evening and Theo and his mum have booked another on November 28 to show an autumn and winter collection.

Contact Jan Bielby 01565 872049 for tickets or for a donation.

Raffle prizes were donated by Mozimo Shoe shop, John Rees jewellers, Cheshire Health Club, Railway Inn, Kate Snell personal trainer, ADT hairdressers and Lakshmi Beauty salon.
