A NEW exhibition at Knutsford Heritage Centre featuring the town’s sports clubs includes the Olympic torch.

The torch has been donated to the centre by Knutsford resident Kane Gunter, who ran with it in Macclesfield, on May 31.

The clubs featured in the exhibition – to mark the London Olympics – will be Knutsford Football Club, Knutsford Tri Club, Knutsford Gymnastics, Knutsford Rugby Club, Egerton Youth Club, Knutsford Golf Club, Knutsford Tennis Club, Toft Cricket Club and Knutsford Golf Club.

Kane’s tracksuit will also be on display. The exhibition opened on Tuesday, and will run until August 27.
