Recycle your phone for charity
8:50am Sunday 1st July 2012 in News
YOU could help an international charity by digging out your old mobile phones and empty inkjet print cartridges.
British Red Cross, which has a headquarters in Northwich Road, is appealing for help with its Recycle4Charity scheme as part of Recycle Week.
The charity will receive £1 for each recycled inkjet and up to £30 for each mobile phone.
The recycling scheme has raised £49,000 for the British Red Cross since 2009.
In the UK the money is going to teaching first aid skills in schools and helping people recover in their homes after long spells in hospital.
