PUPILS at Goostrey Primary were treated to two visits from local politicians as part of a school project.

Cheshire East Mayor Clr George Walton visited the school on June 12, and later that week north west MEP Chris Davies popped into the classroom.

Both men held a question and answer session and spoke about their roles and how they got where they are today.

During the ‘local democracy and government’ week, the pupils learned about how Parliament is made up and how votes are cast.
