A TEAM from a Knutsford law firm swapped their suits and ties for sports gear when they completed a 10-kilometre walk in aid of Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT).
Fifty solicitors, fee earners and their families from Weightmans, in King Street, embarked on the sponsored walk around Tatton Park, raising £1,000 for the charity in the process.
The event was organised by solicitor Lottie Tyler and partner Tina Dunn from the Weightmans family team.
CAFT in Millington supports disadvantaged children by offering adventure breaks and activities for youngsters affected by illness, disability and poverty.
Lottie said: “The charity has running costs of more than £700,000 a year, and it has to raise all this themselves to make the amazing work they do possible every year.”
Tina added: “We urge local people and businesses to dig deep and support us to raise as much money as we can for CAFT.”
The team is still accepting donations. If you would like to contribute go online at justgiving.com/weightmanssponsored walk2011.
