A CARE service which is expected to create up to 50 new jobs is being launched in south east Cheshire.
Goostrey and Holmes Chapel residents are set to benefit from a scheme called Habito provided by home care company Caremark.
It has been designed to enable older people and those with disabilities to maintain an independent lifestyle in their own homes by having the support of a professional live-in carer.
The service will provide long and short term care including respite care with costs similar to residential care home fees.
Mark Birrell, managing director of Caremark (Cheshire South East), said: “There is a strong demand for this type of service to enable those people who do not want to move into residential care to remain in their own homes.
“For some older people, and their families, the thought of giving up their home to move into residential care is extremely distressing..
“We will provide a dedicated live-in carer to look after their personal needs and provide companionship as well as cooking meals and carrying out domestic duties."
Recruitment is currently under way with between 30 and 50 jobs set to be created.
