PUPILS at Bexton Primary School have been celebrating harvest time with a difference this year.
The youngsters have been gathering a harvest of books which will be sent to underprivileged children in Manchester and Salford.
Bexton is supporting the work of the Wood Street Mission, a small charity working to fight poverty and offering help to women and children.
Rachel Bywater represented the mission at Bexton's celebrations and was delighted to receive the massive collection of books from the children.
Bexton pupils hope to continue their relationship with the Wood Street Mission next year by making donations of Easter eggs and uniforms.
