POLICE want to speak to this man after an 87-year-old had £1,200 taken from his bank account.
This footage was captured from CCTV cameras in the NatWest bank, on King Street, Knutsford, on February 5.
The man, in his mid to late 20s, approached the counter with the stolen card and in two transactions took the money out of the man’s account.
The transactions have been timed at 1.40pm and 1.50pm.
After leaving the bank he turned left out of King Street towards the train station.
Officers understand the elderly man, who lives in Holmes Chapel, was shopping on his own at the Co-op on London Road in the village.
But he only reported the card stolen two weeks later after realising it was not in his wallet.
Det Sgt Andy Preece, from Knutsford NPU, said: “Somehow he has got hold of the details of the card and has accessed the account and the got the money out from the branch.
“The man just didn’t realise the card had gone until he went to check the next time he did his shopping.
“We think the man in the pictures is a local man from the Holmes Chapel, Knutsford, Macclesfield area on the basis that we think his face is familiar.
“If anyone can help us in identifying him or if he wants to hand himself in then he can contact us on the numbers below and will speak to him.”
If you think you know the man in the pictures call Knutsford Police on 01244 612712 and ask for Det Sgt Preece or alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
