LEVIATHAN-sized lily pads, a collapsing tree house, a giant doll’s house, a ‘fossilisation machine’ and a two-tonne block of ice from Greenland will all be on show at Tatton Park between May and September.
More than 20 artists will be creating works inspired by Tatton’s mansion, parkland and gardens for the annual Biennial.
This year’s event will take on the theme of ‘framing identity’ with artists and writers exploring our ‘sense of place’ and what roots individuals to a particular location.
Brendan Flanagan, Tatton Park’s visitor economy manager, said: “Set in one of Cheshire’s great Gardens of Distinction, the Tatton Park Biennial will once again show that contemporary art is not only the preserve of city centre galleries.”
The event will be held between May 8 and September 26.
