PAWS In The Park took over Sherdley Park as the annual event returned for 2018.

The dog show was held at the park, which was organised by Fraser's Events.

Initially the Taylor Park Fun Day, the event was renamed and moved to Sherdley Park after it grew year upon year.

Entertainment for the event also included: a demonstration from Dogs for Good; a variety of stalls and activities; catering; bars; face painting; exotic animals and alpacas; horse rides; fun fair plus more.

The mayor and mayoress Cllr Pat Ireland and Lynn Glover attended on the Saturday.

Adam Fraser, of Fraser's Events said: "St Helens RAF cadets helped us on Saturday and the Maritime Cadets on the Sunday and the event raised just short of £500.

"We'd like to say a big thank you to Gaskell's Waste for all their support."
